Dr. Jordan is currently Vice President of Marketing and Business Development with Wilson Group Companies in Dinwiddie, VA. His responsibilities include creation and distribution of marketing materials for Granco Minerals, field research and development, website development and strategic leadership of marketing initiatives for all Wilson Group Companies, ecommerce initiates, and work closely with Dr. Wilson to create new business development opportunities for the company.
Holland came to Wilson Group Companies from his previous position of Managing Director of ChemStewards® for the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) in Washington D.C. ChemStewards® is SOCMA’s environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) continuous performance improvement program created from industry’s commitment to reducing the environmental footprint left by member’s facilities. ChemStewards® serves the unique needs of the batch, custom and specialty chemical industry.
Having served in most executive positions with multi-national, start-up, and non-profit organizations, Dr. Jordan has experience in the chemical and agricultural marketplace that provides a unique perspective. Before coming to SOCMA, Holland was Director of Web Services and Business Development for the American Chemical Society. He managed a team of 50 professionals that served the various departments within ACS.
The majority of his 30-year career has been spent in the agricultural chemical industry. As Business Director of BASF/Canada he had full P&L responsibility for the Agricultural Chemicals Division with sales of $120MM and 65 personnel including Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Business Development and Regulatory. He served on the Board of Directors of the national industry trade organization while heading up the Marketing Committee of the same organization (Crop Life Canada).
Although Dr. Jordan has extensive management experience, his background is research. After receiving his Ph.D. in Agronomy from the University of Florida, he started his career as an agronomist and assistant professor at the Delta Branch Experiment Station of Mississippi State University. Velsicol Chemical Company then employed him as manager of their research station in Mississippi. Other experiences in research include Head of R&D North America for BASF, Agricultural Business Unit in Research Triangle Park, NC and Director of Product Development and later General Manager for Sandoz Agro Canada.
